The Le Mars Citywide Rummage Sale
If you had told me years ago that I’d be organizing one of the biggest rummage sales in Le Mars, I probably would have laughed.
Being from Southern California, my weekends were spent at the swap meets, flea markets, and digging through thrift stores in search of the best finds. There was always something exciting about shopping secondhand—like haggling the price down, or listening for a bike horn knowing there was a Street vendor nearby selling Elote’s (corn on the cob) or Ice Cream just hoping I had enough Cash to flag him down.
But when I moved to Le Mars, I quickly learned that swap meets and street vendors aren’t really a thing here, but rummage sales absolutely are. And let me tell you, Midwesterners sure know how to do a rummage sale right.
There’s just something special about a small-town rummage sale—the early-morning setup, the thrill of getting the best deal, the neighborly conversations, and the shared excitement of finding a hidden gem. It’s not just about buying and selling—it’s about community. That’s why I love organizing the Rummage and seeing it grow.
Watching sellers succeed, clearing out their homes while making some extra cash, and seeing buyers light up when they score an amazing deal—that’s what makes this all worth it.

📍 What is the Le Mars Citywide Rummage Sale?
Think of it as a town-wide treasure hunt. For one weekend, driveways, garages, and front lawns across Le Mars turn into mini thrift shops, with sellers offering everything from clothing, furniture, and kids' items to home décor.

💰 Seller Sign-Up Fee: $20 for all three days (if you have your own space!)
Why is this sale different? Because I take care of the advertising for you. Sellers get their sales listed on the official rummage list, and I promote the event on social media, community boards, flyers, banners, and radio spots—all to bring in as many shoppers as possible.
